Hi, my name is Dave Stoner and I have the privilege to be the pastor/mission developer of Temple Lutheran Church in Pennsauken, NJ. We are a member congregation of the - Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA) through the New Jersey Synod. I’m a Lutheran Pastor who’s passionate about the Future Church. I believe this will be the greatest Christian century of all history. Believers in Christ have been called to transform the world. We’ll do it one person at a time, beginning with ourselves.
My favorite Bible passage is from Paul’s Letter to the Galatians: “I have been crucified with Christ, the life I lead is not my own, but the life Christ lives within me.” I love this passage because it describes exactly how God will transform our world, by living through the disciples of his Son Jesus.
I am the Father of three, (Charity, Julie, and Josh). I am the husband of one, (Kathryn Knodt). I love my family, and in many ways what God has asked of us in this new mission is to be all about families. So I do this new mission with my family in mind. I also hope to show that your family will be as important to me as my own. The disciples of Jesus at Temple Lutheran Church, have been called to allow Christ to live through them to the world. In Christ we have been gifted with the freedom to live for the sake of others. Please, come join us in this transformational mission. With God’s help, we can do amazing things - together.
